Stretching for musicians

Stretching for musicians

My experience as a dancer has taught me that if the body is fine, its performance is better: moreover, training helps to protect oneself from the numerous and frequent accidents along the way.

I am sure that this also applies to musicians, since I know that if you do not have adequate physical preparation, playing a musical instrument while maintaining an unchanged posture for a long time can be tiring. Sometimes the instrumentalist is too rigid and tense, or even puts more force than necessary to perform a piece, or the position assumed while playing is asymmetrical and this can favor tensions, blocks and muscular imbalances and negatively affect posture.

By strengthening the paravertebral, dorsal, lumbar and abdominal muscles, it will be easier to support the spine. At the same time, with mobilization and re-balancing exercises of the musculoskeletal system, the areas most charged with tension are released and rebalanced.

Being more trained, it will be easier to endure long study or test sessions, with less stress and fatigue and with a further improvement in muscle recovery.
